Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Sweet District, we take great care in creating handcrafted cakes and desserts tailored to your requests. Because our products are made-to-order and perishable, we ask that you read our cancellation and refund policy carefully.


Cancellations

Standard Orders:

​Cancellations made more than 7 days before the pickup or delivery date may be eligible for a refund or store credit, less any fees already incurred (e.g. prep or admin costs).

Custom Orders or Large Cakes:

Due to planning and preparation, custom or tiered cakes require at least 10 days' notice for cancellation eligibility.

​

Short-Notice Orders (less than 5 days’ notice):

These are non-refundable once confirmed, due to the immediate start of production and ingredient allocation.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect choices or failure to read product descriptions

  • Late pickups or missed deliveries

  • Disliking taste or design style (as preferences are subjective)

However, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law, you may be eligible for a refund or replacement if your order:

  • Arrives damaged due to our fault

  • Is significantly different from what was agreed (e.g. major errors in flavour, size, or theme)

​

You must notify us within 24 hours of receiving your item, with photo evidence.

​

Changes to Orders

  • Small changes (e.g. wording or colours) may be accepted up to 5 days before your scheduled date.

  • Major changes (e.g. design, size, flavours) may require a new quote or may not be possible depending on production timelines.

No-Show or Missed Pickup

If your order is not collected within the scheduled pickup window and you haven’t contacted us, it will be considered forfeited. No refunds or credits will be issued.

​

Delivery Issues

We are not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by traffic or incorrect delivery information

  • Absence of the recipient at the time of delivery

  • Damage after successful delivery

​

In such cases, refunds are not available.

​

Store Credit (if applicable)

If a cancellation qualifies for a store credit, it will be:

  • Kept on our records for future use

  • Valid for 6 months from the original order date

  • Non-transferable and non-refundable

​
